  We had a very lovely stay at the Chal-A home for a long spring weekend. The location was peaceful and quiet. We loved opening the windows or just standing outside... read more listening to the birds and forest sounds. The house was beautiful! We enjoyed the clean aesthetic with the quirky wallpapers and wood accents. It felt high-end and comfortable at the same time. While we didn't see any bears, we spotted a red squirrel and a wild turkey. We spent our days exploring and at night would crank up the speaker and attempt the 1000-piece puzzles (managed to finish two!). It's a bit of a drive for any activities, but we were happy to explore this corner of Vermont; some of the closest places we visited were Smuggler's Notch Distillery, Hildene/Lincoln Family Home (Manchester), West Dover antique shops, downtown Brattleboro and Wilmington. This is a beautiful home and we would love to stay again for fall or winter vibes.
